Preparation

  1. Place sour cream and 20 ounces whole chiles in food processor bowl. Cover; process until smooth.
  2. Melt butter in large pan until sizzling; add onions, garlic and julienne chilies. Sauté over medium-high heat for 10 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Whisk in chicken broth until thoroughly mixed; add cheese. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted.
  4. Add sour cream mixture; stir until thoroughly mixed. Simmer 10 minutes.
